Mississippi John Hurt was a soft spoken musician that made a record in 1929 and then went on to work on his farm in Avalon. He just spent a majority of his life raising his family. Then during the 1960's folk explosion he was rediscovered and lived out the rest of his life recording and playing music until his death.

If you're not familiar with this guy he is one of the most infamous musicians of all time. He would shit on stage, punch fans in the face, get completely naked and swing his tiny wang around on stage all this while making completely unlistenable music. If nothing else he is a pretty fascinating person.
